| Tall female, with a structure clearly destined for running; its stride is easy and powerful. Athletic and muscular, elegant but solid; it distinguishes itself by its speed and its physical capacity on long distances. It has an exceptionally awaken and intuitive character. Its head is close to natural and has a moderated stop that defines the harmony of its proportions. It has a strong and adjusted bite. Ideal for hunting, she is a model of reference for hunters. Since it was a puppy, it showed an ancestral behavior: by accident, a huge roster escaped, and just before we could grab him, the young Cartuja, with only 2 months old, jumped on it, catching the roster inmediatly without hurting it at all. When it was 6 months old, it confirmed its instincts when it grabbed the ear of a semi – wild boar of which weight was three times hers. Addition to these instincts its territorial sense - it is the best guard dog of the house – and its predisposition for sports and work, it has everything to assure her permamence at our kennel. Extremely affectionate and polyvalent, it is very skilled for work. We have to mention its descendants with “Vitorino de los Tarantos” – “Navaja”, etc. - and with “Rebollo del Condado de Niebla” - “Rebollito”, etc. - becouse the said specimens are especially significant to our kennel because they represent the result of several generation from our lineage and above the fifteenth from some of its ancestors controled by ANCAE: the equivalent of over twenty years of selective work. | ||
