PANTERA DEL CONDADO DE NIEBLA
Belmonte del Condado de Niebla X Sultana del Condado de Niebla

English introduction

A old Pantera with our good friend Christiam Glock(from Germany)

Pantera and Taranto, 1995

Bitch of an extremely typical allure, she is the result from the inbreeding of “Carpintero”; a dog that has been recuperated when he was already old and that has produced only two litters, which was dangerous for the continuity of its genotype. The preservation of the essence of this dog needed an inbreeding between its descendants and in this project was born “Pantera”. Carpintero’s history is deserving of a short description: It was a short dog of a very powerfull structure, wide chest, with an ascendant croup and a huge head. Its typology was clearly axed on “cattle type”: short muzzle, eyes widely set on its head with a frightening and primitive look, like Mr. Martinez Del Espinar said in 1646. He had a peaceful temper and a deep and sepulchral bark; hearing him was impressive ¡!!! She was a product of ancestral dogs, and its descendants is well adjusted to the estándar of the breed, having inherited the power of its jaw and other aptitudes of a cattle dog that give a character to this lineage. Carpintero was located in a woodshop from “Laredo”; he was brought at our breeding center in a dreadful state: very old, skinny, without any teeth, he had even been hit by a car... Here, he was put against a wild boar for see it reaction, and he realized one of the most solid holds that we know in its breed: incredible ¡!! Its lineage has been very influent: they have been protagonists of videos (like “Chato de los Cuadrejones” in the film “Aliados del Hombre”); have represented the breed in dog magazines (“Pantera”; “Caín”; “Zambra”; “Belmonte”...) and have influenced the genetic of many of the most important breeders around Spain. He transmitted an Alano’s exclusive color: black and brindle (Negro y orito en vardino o negro y atigrado): rare and primitive color of robe that we cannot find on other breeds and that contributes in reinforcing the identity of our Alano. Taking up “Pantera” again, from “Carpintero”, it has the expression, a very emblematic look and a moderated temper. From “Verdina”, it has the athletic complexion and surprising flexibility in its movements. Everyone at home likes this dog for her “manners”, and it is my wife’s favorite. Its photogenic allure creates a special attraction to the people who see her for the first time face to face. We have to mention its appearance on the cover page from the probably most important Spanish dog’s magazine “El Mundo del Perro” (June’99) –Its pic was selected between many other breeders -; and the “Best adult Bitch” award of several shows (Ronquillo-Sevilla’97; Archidona-Málaga’04). She transmitted many of the her essential traits, especially with Taranto’s lineage, which some of it is in the United States, being the pillars of news and enthusiasts breeders. Its last litter with “Chato de los Cuadrejones” was a important step toward the consolidation of a pure Carpintero’s bloodline and a stock of "hipertipicity" characteristcs. Not for work in that tendency, but looking balance toward the midle or standar types.
